New research conducted by Wowcher evaluated cities across the UK based on various factors, including hotel and spa bookings, noise and light pollution, traffic levels, population density, walking trails, local life satisfaction, and the quality of green spaces.

Dundee secured an impressive index score of 58.1, just behind Inverness, which topped the list with 60.2.

This ranking reinforces Scotland’s dominance as a staycation hotspot, with Inverness and Dundee taking the top two spots and Edinburgh and Glasgow also making the top ten. Bath emerged as England’s highest-ranked city, coming in third with a score of 56.8.
