Eden Project to use former Dundee school as offices to drive development forward

The Eden Project’s chief executive has given an update on the project, which could transform Dundee’s tourism economy.

Eden Project will use a former Dundee school as its offices as work to create the city’s eco-attraction continues.

Visiting the building for the first time, Eden Project chief executive Andy Jasper said:

“It’s great to now have a presence in Dundee. It’s ideally located so close to the build site. We’ve got some really exciting ideas about how we can use the building to engage the public. We are looking to move in as soon as possible. It can’t happen soon enough.”

The Eden Project’s attraction in Cornwall has attracted £2.2 billion into its local economy in the past 20 years. A public fundraising campaign, lasting around 18 months, will start next year.

Having a permanent base in Dundee is another small step forward for the project, which has the potential to transform the city’s tourism offering.
